Out of Fire Hand Forged Metal Katana Sword

This handmade katana is traditionally hand forged from folded steel, with the forging process involving repeated heating and hammering to shape and refine the blade. The folding process helps remove impurities from the steel, leaving a refined blade with a traditional handcrafted character.

The blade is carefully quenched to achieve the desired hardness, resulting in a HRC 45 hardness rating. The wooden handle is wrapped in genuine Stingray skin (Samekawa) before being finished with traditional cotton handle wrapping (Tsukamaki), providing an authentic and highly detailed finish.

The katana is complemented by a hard wood saya, along with zinc alloy fittings and tsuba, while the cotton sageo completes the traditional appearance.
